The Summit at Quadra Village
This state-of-the-art, 320-unit residential and dementia care facility provides private rooms to all residents and and offers secure outdoor spaces. It also features amenities such as a hair salon and physiotherapy room, along with an on-site dialysis suite.
Slated for completion in early 2019, the Summit at Quadra Village will become the new home for residents of Oak Bay Lodge and Mount Tolmie Hospital. The project employed an integrated design process with construction management procurement and an overall construction budget of $65 million.
All bedrooms are private, single-occupant rooms complete with an ensuite bathroom and shower. Floors are organized into houses of 24 residents with the ability to subdivide into smaller pods of 12. The building features robust resident services and amenity spaces, an adult day program for 30-35 seniors, and it will be the first facility in the province with an on-site hemodialysis clinic.
The design prioritizes both resident quality of life and operational efficiency, with compact centralized staff areas surrounded by perimeter resident common areas facing onto landscaped gardens.
