Welch road residence

The Welch Road Residence is situated on a gentle sloping rural site with ocean and mountain views to the east and the setting sun to the west. Restrictive height limitations necessitated a horizontal massing that includes entertainment size kitchen, living and dining rooms, a full size pool and ancillary spaces, home offices, guest suite, and conservatory.

A second storey includes both a master suite and guest suite with panoramic views on all sides. The spare material palette is composed of stone, glass, metal, and stained cedar siding to complement the natural surroundings. A lively roof line breaks up the massing and stone elements anchor the house to its site.
