House II: Terrace Avenue

House 2 on Terrace Avenue is one of a pair of houses situated on a steep, narrow lot in the Rockland neighbourhood of Victoria. The residence is designed on three levels capped by a roof top terrace that features a 360 degree view of Victoria and its spectacular ocean and mountain surroundings.

The spare material palette combines dark stained cedar siding, metal panels, concrete and glass to create a modern, clean aesthetic. To take advantage of views out to the Straight of Juan de Fuca, the open-concept living room, dining room & kitchen are situated on the upper floor, with the bedrooms located at entry level.
